The main problems I have with shop-bought bread are wetness and ridiculously thin slices. With this bread, neither of these are a problem. Although I wouldn't neccessarily call these medium sclices, as they do tend towards the thin side of medium, they don't tear when I spread things on them, resulting in better sandwiches. And it hasn't got that horrible, "sticking to the roof of your mouth" feeling that other breads I've tried have.

In terms of value, a loaf costs 75p I think. I had a look round the other day, and it's definitely a lot cheaper than any branded product. The cheapest branded bread I saw was £1.00, and that was on special offer. Taste-wise, I can't tell the difference between this and, say, Hovis, or any other bread. So obviously, this 25p or more price difference is an excellent incentive for me to buy this and not any other.

Like any bread, it lasts for a few days. In the Sainsbury's I shop at, on some days of the week, the bread has only got 2 days before the best before date, but I get through it so quickly, it doesn't really matter that much. And anyway, it's fine for a couple of days after the date - as long as you check for mould first :P
