Advantages: They are tasty, They were cheap!

Disadvantages: None for me!

Hi, I'm Jemma and I'm a crisp addict - I am NOT messing either! I was browsing in Poundstretchers the other day and of course my big belly lead me towards the food section, as it so often does. Crisps met my eye and that was it I was stuck there deciding what to buy. I spotted a few large boxes at the bottom of the shelves with a yellow price sticker saying 22p underneath, hmm looked good! I give them a closer inspection and seen that these boxes contained Seabrook Crinkle Cut Potato Crisps and I had never tried them before. At 22p a pack I wasn't going to turn my nose up and purchased one of each flavour that was available! Naughty Jemma!

The first flavour I tried was Beefy - Yes you read that right, not beef, not bbq beef not roast beef just plain old BEEFY! The beefy flavoured crinkle cut crisps come in the white and light brown bags. Seabrook is stamped proudly in a circle in the middle of the packet, also saying Crinkle Cut Potato Crisps - since 1945! At the bottom of the packet it says 'Made with sunflower oil and sea salt. MSG Free'

Each pack contains;
168 calories
1.1g sugar
9.0g fat
1.0g saturates
0.5g salt

Opening the packet I was met by a full to the brim bag of pale looking crinkle cut crisps, so far so good! These are quite thin crisps but they are extremely crinkled, varying in sizes giving them an interesting appearance for a crisp. They didn't have an overpowering stench to them which was good too but after having a little sniff when nuzzling my nose in the bag I was met by a pleasing beef smell, ever so light but extremely mouthwatering. These are very crisp crisps to eat, crunchy and quite light to eat but they have lovely flavours. These tasted exactly like beef, not too strong nor too weak, just right of a real tasty portion of beef.

I had also picked Prawn Cocktail flavoured Seabrook crisps. The design of the bag was exactly the same apart from the colouring which in this case the bag was a light pink. The crisps appearance was exactly the same too. Now for the flavour! Well again I wasn't met by an overwhelming stink but they definitely had that sweet, tangy smell when I had a closer sniff. They tasted just the same as they smelt, sweet, tangy, slightly fishy the way you'd expect from a prawn cocktail crisp. Very tasty indeed!

Last but not least I chose Cheese and Onion which came in a bag designed exactly the same as I'm sure you've guessed and yes you're right the colour theme did differ, this time being a light yellow. I was pleased to find I wasn't possessed by some extreme stink when opening the bag yet the flavour of them like the other two bags never failed to impress me. They had that tangyness of onion to them balanced out oh so perfectly by a strong cheese taste.

Seabrook Crinkle Cut crisps come in such a variety of flavours and I am on a mission to try them all after such a success with these three flavours. They all delivered well on appearance and especially taste. They were quite light crisps to eat, and I was also impressed that each bag was near enough full unlike some brands of crisps you can buy that provides you with half a bag of air, um Yum?! They were very tasty crisps without the overpowering smells and tastes and lingering aftertastes. Very enjoyable crisps to eat indeed!

Summary: Very tasty crisps, a different shape which makes them different to eat to!
