Seabrook Crinkle Cut Crisps
Advantages: Tastes Great,
Disadvantages: They dont last long
Seabrooks Crinkle Cut Potato crisps, Yum. I can safely say that these are one of my favourite brands of crisp. The thing I love about these crisps is that each flavour is really quite simple but tastes absolutely great.
I have recently bought a multipack of 6 which contained 2 sea salted, 2 sea salt and vinegar and 2 cheese and onion. Now I like a variety of flavours so these were the perfect choice. I quite often prefer the much more original flavours to the ones that are a little out there.
Seabrooks have been making crisps since 1945 and they are made with potatoes, sunflower oil and sea salt. Each flavour is slightly different with regards to how much sunflower oil is used or how many calories there are. My favourite out of the flavours that I purchased has to be the Cheese and Onion flavour.
The crisps are Crinkle Cut as you can tell by the title. They are not soft in texture but they are not hard either, they fit nicely in the middle and are easy to chomp away on. Each flavour is really noticeable in its own way. You would never fail to tell which ones you were eating if you were blindfolded as the taste is quite strong but not to strong that it puts you off.
I have tried most of the flavours in the Seabrook range and have found that I am very partial to a packet of Prawn Cocktail, the Canadian Ham and the Beefy flavour. I am grateful that they still make the beef flavour as brands like Walkers have stopped doing them nowadays and they have always been near the top of my favourite crisp list. The only problem I find with the other flavours is that they each have to be bought seperately, too date I have never come across a multipack with anything other than the original flavours in them.
Cream Cheese & Chives
There is also the hot and spicy range.
In a 31.8g Packet of Cheese and Onion Crisps there is 168 calories, 1.3g of sugar, 9.0g of fat, 1.1g of saturates and 0.7g of salt. So there probably not the healthiest crisps around but I love them so I will continue to buy them. They are also Gluten and MSG Free and are suitable for vegetarian.
I bought my multipack in Morrisons which were on offer of £1.00, unfortunately they only lasted a couple of days so I need to go buy more already but at that prcie you cant go wrong. I'm not sure how much the single packets are and I know the range in Morrisons isnt great unless you go to their Petrol Station. For some reason they have a larger variety of flavours to offer.
Summary: Recommended for all you savoury people
