Advantages: Good sized bag, pleasant
Disadvantages: I really cant put my finger on it but there is something about them
Seabrooks Crisps are made in Bradford and are apparently much more popular in the north than the south. The company was founded between 1945-1949 by a man named Charles Brook. The name arose due to an error leading upto production when Searooks crisps was written instead of the intended C.Brooks, since then the name has always stuck.
I have only ever tried the Sea Salt variety, this seems to be one of the few flavours available to those who dont want to order them off the internet (a minimum order of 48 packs is required). If you do venture onto the net you will find a plethora of flavours, Mexican Chilli, Indian tandoori and a Hot range including the one flavour i really wanna try, Habanero.
The Crisps themselves are slightly yellower than other brands (although not hugely so), they are crinkle cut but are much thinner than the king of the crinkle 'McCoys'. Also they are more curled over than McCoys.
The packet is white with a few red markings on the front (I think the colour changes for each flavour as you'd expect). Each pack weighs a rather specific 31.8g so you get a good amount of crisp in there.
I always like these crisps when i do get them but theres something i cant quite put my finger on that sometimes stops me buying them. My brother finds them very greasy although i myself do not.
Try a pack for yourself and see if you can pin point what it is that takes a few points off these crisps.
Overall i think i would reccomend them but there is something that stops them being five star.
Summary: Nice but something stops them being wonderful.
