I popped into Asda yesterday to get some groceries and while i was there I decided to be really organised and get something for lunch for today as I was in the office. I always end up buying off the trolley that comes around selling rolls and crisps but to be honest they are quite pricey and not very tasty.

I bought myself a baguette and just as I was about to walk away I noticed there was a stack of boxes with different flavours of seabrook crisps. Now I must admit when I saw these a wave of excitement passed through me. As I used to love these crisps years ago. But hadnt seen them or thought of them for a number of years. But one glance at the salt and vinegar flavour variety and two bags were in my trolley a bit sharpish.

As soon as I got home and unpacked the shopping I sat in silence and opened the packet. The distinctive, strong scent of salt and vinegar lifted from the packet and filled my nostrils. Making my mouth water.

The packet is 31.8g in weight. The bag is mostly white in colour with a red sea brook logo on the front. At the top and bottom edges of the bag there is blue edging and this is where the salt and vinegar flavour is written. On the back of the packet there is a good deal of information regarding nutritional values, allergy advice, ingredients and other flavours in the seabrook range.

I do think the packaging of these crisps offers a more attractive alternative than your average bag of salt and vinegar. The bag always seems to remind me of the seaside. Maybe its because its bright and a little bit quirky compared to other crisp making brands.

When sampling one of these delights I was exceptionally pleased. The strong salt and vinegar flavour on the crisps is so delicious. The ridges of the crisps are the best bit as its in these ridges that alot of the intense salt and vinegar flavour waits for your discovery.

The pack is quite full of these crisps, which i found satisfying. There is nothing worse than opening a packet and looking in, to discover that there about five crisps in the bottom of the bag and the rest is air.
These are not like that at all and there was a very good portion of crisps to be had.

Another thing I found great was the size of the crisps. There are no scabby little scrappy ones in this packet. These crisps are nice and big. I found that nearly all of the crisps took more than one bite to devour them.

I am delighted to report, that seabrook crisps are as gorgeous as I remember them from years gone by. They offer a more taste busting experience than any other variety of crisps. The strong flavour of salt and vinegar is so delicious and strong that you may find that your tongue may be a little sore after eating these crisps. But they are well worth this small sacrifice.

Another slightly downside to these crisps, is that they are really quite high in calories compared to other crisp packets on the market. A pack of these will set you back a whopping 165 calories which is made wose by the fact that it is accompanied by a hefty 8.9g of fat.

In reflection I would say that these crisps are the daddy of the crisp world. The intense flavour of these crisps blows all competitors out of the water. If these crisps were in the flavour olympics they would win gold medal hands down. However due to the high nutritional values, I would suggest that these crisps only be consumed as a treat and not as a daily regime.

I love these crisps and i am so glad we have been reunited after all this time. But alas this relationship just cant go on. Your just not good for me. your a bad boy of the crisp world!!! but like with all bad boys i cant resist!! so the occasional date will have to do .
