I absolutely love bacon fries of any brand. I usually buy the shops own brand of them which even though I love them, I have to admit they do taste like flavoured cardboard! Not these ones though, these ones taste like bacon fries should! They smell deliciously meaty and when you eat them they do not have a soggy or stale texture like some of the cheaper brands do, they have the crunch that you expect from well-made crisps. The flavour is a million times better than the cheaper brands too, it is not that cheap strange taste you get with the cheap ones but an actual meaty kind of flavour. It is still not quite the same taste as say eating a piece of fried bacon but it is probably as close to it as you will ever get with a packet of crisps!
Nutrition wise I think these are about as healthy as any other non-low-fat crisps. They are fine when eaten in moderation but if you eat a 24 pack every day then you will get fat. It is the same with anything. Obviously being nice and delicious they are automatically bad for you, as are cream cakes and biscuits, but since when did we let that stop us! The problem with bacon fries is that one packet just never seems enough and they leave you wanting more, a bit like grapes, you can happily sit there munching on them until the end of time without even realising you are doing it. Definitely not a girl's best friend.
If you like crisps and you like meaty flavoured ones then I would definitely recommend these to you. Yes you can get cheaper brands of bacon fries that do bigger "share size" bags but what you save in money you lose in quality. The cheap ones although nice are nothing compared to these ones. If you can afford a bit extra for your snacks then give these a try, they are well worth the price tag.
