“ Brand: Aldi / Type: Snacks „
I have been watching my spending a bit more of late, like many people. So have been spending a few shopping moments in Aldi. Whilst shopping there recently I noticed a multi pack of crisps. I think they were 10 for a pound, or something like it. As there are five of us in the house who like crisps, I thought I'd give them a go. This review is purely on the Bacon Fries flavour. Description The packet itself is a 'browny' type coulour, with Bacon Fries, splashed across the middle. It also has snackrite in the top left hand corner and boasts that it has No MSG No Artificial Colours No Artificial Preservatives No Artificial Flavours Made with High Oleic Sunflower Oil The Product I have eaten many different types of Bacon Fries before. I would argue that they are one of my favourite flavours. Having cost in the region of 10p my expectations were not high, although secretly I hoped I had stumbled on a bargain. Upon opening the packet the smell of bacon did hit the air, which only encouraged me more to delve into the packet. I guess it must have been about 0.1 mili seconds before that first maize bacon flavour snack was tantalising my taste buds. They were absolutely delicious.. Like with most bacon fries they are designed to look like a small rash of bacon. The snack itself is made of maize and I love leaving them in my mouth for a while enjoying the taste, rather than just swallowing them to fill me up. I did notice that they were a bit greasy so some people may not like them, but no more greasy than normal Bacon Fries. They did also have a taste like bacon, in my opinion. Although not the healthiest in the world, they are tasty and as with most snacks can be used as part of a balanced diet. I'll be reviewing the other flavours in this range over the coming weeks, and have already been back and bought more.
