Advantages: Sweet, Peanutty, Chocolatey, Oaty, LOVELY!!!!!

Disadvantages: None

Now while out on the hunt for some nice treats, as my eldest son and his wife were coming down to see us for the weekend. The shops are full of Xmas goodies, but I will not buy anything from that range at the moment as by the time Xmas hits us we will be sick of mince pies, biscuits and cakes ect....

Then sitting on the shelf beckoning me over was what I thought was a pack of Snickers (sitting in the wrong place amongst the cakes and not the bars of chocolate!) it was in fact a packet of Snickers Flapjacks. Now what could be better than a Snickers bar or Flapjacks, so to have them both in one bar was great!!!

Now these are made by McVities who make a lot of the biscuits, cakes and bars that we see on our supermarket shelves. They come in a pack of 5 and are about 3 inches long , but quite fat at nearly three quarters of an inch deep.The packaging is quite simple with no boxes to dispose of, just a papery sleeve with the Snickers Flapjacks sitting on a cardboard tray. The packaging look a lot like the packs of Snickers that you can buy, with Snickers written across the front in bold blue writting sitting on a brown background with some peanuts scattered around.

So out I get my Snickers which at the moment are B.O.G.O.F. from Tesco's at £1.20, which makes them a reasonable treat for lunches, coffee breaks or days out! Now I must say these went better than I thought they would, as everyone grabbed one when they saw them sitting pretty on a plate. I'm not much of a sweet eater, but these did intrigue me to try one and I must say it was really very nice. On tearing the side of one of these bars, (which tear really easily with no resistance or struggle) you will see a thick oaty, peanutty bar topped of with a thin layer of chocolate with the outline of the peanuts poking through!

It smells absolutely delicious of peanuts and oats, so on taking a bite from this little, but fat bar is heaven it just melts in your mouth mmmm!

It has all the taste of a flapjack with the added bonus of peanuts and chocolate. They are a bit high on the calories, as they are quite small for the amount they have, but then a lot of the "Health Bars" are quite high too!

Each Snickers Flapjack contains;

~~~Calories 168~~~
~~~Sugar 8.4g~~~
~~~Fat 9.8g~~~
~~~Saturates 4g~~~
~~~Salt 0.3g~~~
These are vegetarian friendly, which pleased my Daughter. They obviously contain peanuts (13%) so not so good if you have an allegery to them.
So as a once in a while treat, they won't do you any harm, but be warned as they are very moriesh indeed!!
We ended up taking a couple of packs with us when we went to the Zoo on the Sunday and came back with NONE!!!
Another good product from McVities so a 5 star rating is awarded here!
Summary: A really nice lunch box treat or coffee break snack!
