Advantages: Taste, Convenience
Manufactured by McVities and measuring just under 9 cm long, Snickers Flapjacks inject just enough taste and sugar to give you a boost during your working day - or at least they do in mine!
Whereas I find the usual Snickers chocolate bar quite heavy, I find the flapjack light and tasty.
Its base is soft and moist - consisting primarily of rolled oats, golden syrup and roasted peanuts. The lovely peanutty taste, I think makes them uniquely different from other flap jacks on the market, although they are not packed with peanuts so that they become intrusive - there are just enough to add a crunchy kick!
The base is covered in sticky caramel and then topped off with milk chocolate.
Unlike other flap jacks they are not overly sweet, each layer seems to compliment the other resulting in something of a taste sensation.
I take them to work but unfortunately find that one isn't enough, so generally have two! As a treat, I pop one in my sons lunch box every now and again as they are the idea size for little mouths.
I bought mine from Tesco, £1.00 for a multi pack of 5, or 20p each.
On reading the nutritional information on the packet, I was horrified to discover that each tiny flap jack contains 167kcals! Bearing this in mind, I shall now be taking one to work!
