This isn't the best chocolate brownie I've had, and I usually make much better at home, so why am I reviewing this? Because let me tell you an amazing little secret...tesco chocolate brownie traybake is DAIRY FREE!!!

What?? Did I just say that a commercial chocolate brownie is DAIRY FREE? Yes I did. I came across this by accident, I was browsing the packaged bake aisle and picked this up for my husband, casually glanced over the allergy information, no dairy, then I glanced over the ingredients expecting to see milk pop out at me (as it does after so many years of looking) and NOTHING.

The Ingredients are:
Sugar, Dark Chocolate (23%) ,Pasteurised Whole Egg ,Wheat Flour ,Vegetable Oil ,Fat Reduced Cocoa Powder , Gelling Agent (Acacia) ,Natural Flavouring ,Salt , Preservative (Potassium Sorbate) ,TempText3. ,Dark Chocolate contains ,Cocoa Mass ,Sugar ,Cocoa Butter ,Fat Reduced Cocoa Powder ,TempText4.

So....this is a DAIRY FREE chocolate brownie. They don't advertise it, or make it obvious and you probably wouldn't think to check it if you have a dairy allergy like me.

But let me tell you, it isn't half bad. If you fancy a chocolate brownie and you don't want to make one, and you have allergies, then you normally have to go to the "free from" section where you will only find lots of "gluten free" stuff and very little dairy free. Even though dairy is a very common allergy.

But now you can just go to the regular baked section, pick up this tray bake, take it home and eat it! It's very thick and heavy, it can be a bit flaky, it's more the fudgy type of brownie. But I love it. And for £1.30 you can't go wrong - especially if you compare it to the cost of free-from items.

Dairy allergy sufferers unite, buy this chocolate brownie before tesco realizes and starts adding milk or putting the price up!!
