Tesco Cream Crackers
Advantages: Plain in flavour, look nice
Disadvantages: Bad packaging that tears too easily, lack of flavour
Just recently I have made a real efort to cut down on my bread intake. I adore bread and can easily get through a large loaf all by myself in a couple of days, maybe even less time so I simply stopped buying it and stocked up on my less favoured other bread like products in the hope to slow myself down a bit!
The Tesco Cream Crackers I bought are the reduced fat ones opposed to the ones with all the fat in them due to me like I have just pointed out....trying to be a wee bit healthier.
These come in a bright orange plastic packet and on a couple of sides of the pack we are shown the cream crackers with various toppings on them and told that they are indeed Tesco Reduced Fat Cream Crackers, there is an at a glance nutritional chart shown as well as the weight being stated which is 200g. Other information on the rest of the pack includes ingredients and allergy advice being given as well as a full and comprehensive nutritional chart being show and of course contact details for Tesco are given. Nice enough and informative packaging this is however once you have torn open the packet they seem to fall out all over the place and not stay to fresh anymore so I do think that like me you need to find a more airtight way of storing them to keep them fresh as I did or they go a bit soggy and not so nice.
Well these are mainly a cream in colour, square in shape, thinnish and with rounded corners and in some part of them they are golden giving them a baked appearance. These are very plain in flavour indeed, crispy (if stored right) though don't taste creamy or particularly seasoned however the crispiness is really nice and because they are plain in flavour and rather strong as they are thick enough you can top them with a variety of toppings and let your toppings give you the most of the flavour of any snack you choose.
I cant say that these are all that though sadly and although they are nice enough quality and in appearance look nice enough they do lack flavour and maybe next time I will go for the full fat, regular cream crackers that Tesco do and see if they fair any better however at only 33 calories a cracker and with only 0.3 saturated fat they are healthy enough and my large pack of them giving me an estimated 30 crackers only cost me around 55p so worth the money? They kind of are eh to be fair to them?!
Only available from Tesco stores.
Summary: Not bad, not great...I'm on the fence with these!
