Each of the six buns (typically 40g each) contained in the package will provide 130 kcal and 3.0g fat. The buns are suitable for a vegetarian diet, and sufficient allergy information is provided on the reverse of the packaging, to allow consumers to make an informed choice. I think it is worth mentioning that the Finger Buns cannot be frozen, particularly as I had wrongly assumed that they could. I assume that the icing...more

Anybody who regularly reads my reviews will be aware by now that I have a terrible sweet tooth and regularly enjoy indulging it with a variety of sweet treats such as cakes and biscuits. I have bought the "Iced Finger Buns" from Tesco on several occasions in the past although not for quite some time, as I have just happened to favour other cakes instead for the most part. I was reacquainted with the buns recently however, when my husband purchased two packs of them to serve to some of our family members, who we were having over for a visit and catch-up. The packaging for the buns has changed slightly from that shown in the picture at the ...  Read the complete review

I was after a dessert for after tea the other day whilst in tescos, and we always get a cheesecake or chocolate cake, something like that so I was after something a bit different, but still cheap. I saw a pack of these tesco iced finger buns, and I remember we used to have them all the time when I was little and I loved them. After tasting them years later I really don't know why I used to like them! I bought them for just 70p, and I got 6 in a pack, so I thought this was really cheap. They are basically like the bread rolls you would use to make hot dogs with, and they have a layer of icing on the top. When I think about it, bread and icing together sounds ...  Read the complete review

Tesco Iced Finger Buns: Don't Send Your Dad Shopping!!! (329 words)

My dad's officially a div, I've told him to his face and deffo aren't speaking behind his back! lol I texted him to bring me a pack of hotdog buns the other day and he brought these back, he didn't even realise what the problem was when I asked him what he'd brought them for!!! I ate one anyway being as they was there and wasn't all that impressed with them. In a way it IS a hotdog bun because the finger is savoury not sweet like I thought. The icing is MAJORLY sweet though so if you eat it all together that kind of cons your brain that you're eating a cake, but if you eat a bit on it's own it just tastes like normal bread. There isn't much ...  Read the complete review

After having to pop to my local Tesco express for a few bits my children decided that as their treat they wanted something cakey, hence this review. The product I will now review is - "Tesco - 6 iced finger buns" Now I haven't had these in years, this was one of my favourites as a child, I was never a fan of cream cakes in my youth so these were ideal, funnily enough my kids are the same. These particular cakes come housed in an open topped cardboard sleeve, then wrapped in a clear plastic packet, through which you can see the 6 delicious looking buns. The buns themselves are bog standard finger buns, around 1 ½" ...  Read the complete review

Tesco Iced Finger Buns: The kind of sticky fingers you want. (293 words)

These Tesco Iced Finger Buns seem to have got a few bad reviews and I don't quite understand it because i really enjoy them and think they are very good value. The come in a back of six - and a pack of 6 costs 70p, which equates to just 12p per bun. I think 12p per bun is really worth paying - and it's a nice little treat to have that isn't going to cost the earth. The packaging is plain, but it does have all of the necessary information printed on it, such as ingredients and nutritional information. The buns are finger buns and so they are long and thin - and are attached to each other and so you need to rip a bun off when you want to eat one. Each finger ...  Read the complete review
