      No point paying for Weetabix

These are weetabix by another name, really.

They look just like weetabix. The biscuits are the same size - 37.5g.

They taste like weetabix. The ingredients are exactly the same - Wholegrain Wheat (95%), Malted Barley Extract, Sugar, Salt, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Folic Acid. The amounts of all the vitamins are exactly the same, and the amounts of sugar and salt are exactly the same.

They're two-thirds of the price of weetabix. A packet of 48 costs £2.15, whereas 48 Weetabix cost £3.24.

The only slight difference that I have noticed is that the Tescos ones have marginally smaller flakes of wheat making up the biscuit. So once mixed with milk the result is a bit mushier than with original Weetabix. As I'm usually feeding them to a small child, this is a good thing!

I have noticed that Tesco have brought out a cheaper version called Country Barn - I wonder if they are the same inside the box too?
