Advantages: Cheap, tasty, not as fattening as other snacks.

Disadvantages: Had faulty batches, goes soggy if not eaten all in one sitting

Well, I love crisps - ALL types of crisp snacks. I don't discriminate against potato based, maize snacks or fried vegetable chips. It literally is ALL crisps and these, it has to be said, are my snack of choice.

I've tried other salt and vinegar products from various manufacturers in my time, and to a degree I've enjoyed them all but these, I find, are in my opinion - the best. Measuring around 1.5inches each I feel they are the perfect size for a satisfying crunchy mouthful and they pack a powerful flavour punch - well most of the time. I've had a couple of bags where they either didn't taste of anything or half of them did and the other half did. Now, clearly just a problem with the factory processes, I wouldn't normally let it affect my review, but it has happened not once - but twice and to me that's too much to not have an effect.

That little fault aside for now, back to the good stuff. The taste is sublime, salty enough to have you going back for another, and another, and another - yet tangy enough with the vinegar to make your mouth tingle and get your taste-buds really jumping. They are SO morish in fact that I have found myself getting through a whole 150g bag in one sitting, very easily. Where I have managed to leave the packet alone after eating half I have found that coming back to the product the next day that the snacks have gone a little damp and soggy, so if you are going to do that I would recommend placing the snacks into an airtight container until you are ready to enjoy them some more. This is probably standard for this type of snack though a little inconvenient.

Assuming you do eat these snacks all in one go they are wonderfully crunchy when you first start to nibble yet the more you chew they become soft and yes, they will stick in your teeth somewhat - but I personally enjoy this. It gives you the chance to run your tongue around your mouth and discover the bits you've missed which are just as tangy as when you started. Yes, I do feel a little guilty eating the whole packet all in one go but, at 125 calories and 6g of fat per 1/6 of a bag I gather that they aren't as unhealthy as other crisps.

The price point is fantastic. 90p (at time of writing) for such a large bag is great value and puts them ahead of other similar weight snacks. Perfect for relaxing in front of the TV, popping into a bowl when friends come over or even serving with a sandwich for lunch - they really are that tasty and even suitable for vegetarians!

If you're looking for a tasty, cheap snack that isn't *too* calorific - the look no further. I really enjoy these snacks and would happily recommend them to a friend or family member. I only wish that I hadn't had those couple of faulty batches and then I would have given this product the full 5 stars!

Summary: Really tasty, perfect for sharing and indulging!
