When I first saw these Toffee Iced Tarts in Tesco, it brought back a child hood memory. I had to stay for school dinners and one of my favourite puddings was a toffee tart with hot custard. As soon as I saw these in Tesco, I knew I had to try them. They are not exactly the same, but they're not far off it either. Tesco's Toffee Iced Tarts come in a box of six and cost £1 only, which is great value. They are made with a lovely, sweet and crumbly shortcrust pastry. This is filled with a moist, toffee flavoured sponge and a toffee sauce. It is then topped with toffee flavoured icing.
