Advantages: Lovely flavour + bargain price.
Disadvantages: None.
I can't stand buying expensive biscuits, because I think quite often the cheaper version tastes exactly the same as the more well known brands! These cookies are a great little bargain at just 40p for 250g, and it does seem like you get a lot of cookies in a packet.
As with most of the Value Range, the packaging is basic - a white background with a couple of cookies on it. I'm guessing that a lot of people will transfer their biscuits to a biscuit barrel or a Tupperware container to keep them fresh, so I don't think this is an important factor in choosing them.
I find that these biscuits taste quite a lot like the Maryland variety. You might get a few less chocolate chips, but overall they are very nice! They are crunchy and slightly addictive, so I find myself going through these in not time, but at just 40p that's okay! The chocolate in these cookies doesn't taste at all cheap which is a bonus, and was a lot better than I first expected.
They are obviously pretty unhealthy - 2 cookies contain 105 calories apparently, but I think as a treat that's not so bad.
Overall, these are great cookies for the price!
Summary: Really great if you are on a budget.
