“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Pastry „
I was on a lunch break the other day and was dashing round Tesco and fancied a Cornish Pasty while looking at the chilled pasty and pie section I noticed Tesco's had a Tesco Value Cornish Pasty in there value range for 35p. I then looked at the good old reliable Ginsters Cornish Pasty £1.39. I went for it and got the 35p one.
The packaging is not appealing at all; probably a little boring it is a clear plastic bag, with the well known value writing on it (blue, red & white). I think the clear packaging is a good thing as you can see the product where as other brands have coloured plastic so you can't see the product until you open it.
Ok it's not the healthiest of things but none of the Cornish Pasties are.

You can have this served hot or cold. I have only ever had the pasty cold so can not compare but to eat warm it's recommended 18-20mins in an oven at 180c/375f/Gas Mark 5.
**Taste & Smell
On tucking into the pasty I was surprised at how good the pasty was. It was flaky and not to floury at all. The filling was substantial. Not as full as a Ginster but for the price difference I expected this. The Suede, Potato & Onion inside was chunky and tasty. The black pepper was a little over powering for me.
A great buy for 35p. Tasty, convenient & cheap
