NO LONGER ON SALE AS 'TESCO VALUE' - THESE ARE NOW CALLED 'EVERYDAY VALUE'
===Why I Bought This===
One thing I enjoy is having nice cup of tea - but these days, both for financial and health reasons, I have stopped buying biscuits. However I have relented slightly and last week bought myself a pack of the Tesco Everyday Value Ginger Nuts.
===The Brand===
Made for Tesco.
===The Product===
Tesco Everyday Value Ginger Nuts.
Comes in a beige long plastic packet that is heat sealed at either end.
The packet has brown images of teapots, cups, spoons and biscuits on the front as well as a picture image of the actual biscuits on a plate.
300 grams produced in the UK for Tesco.
Contains no MSG, GM or artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives. Also no hydrogenated fat.
Suitable for vegetarians.
Tesco state that their products are more test tasted than any other supermarket does with their products.
Contains wheat and gluten and cannot guarantee nut free.
Each biscuit contains 46 calories, 2.9 grams of sugar and 1.6 grams of fat.
My packet had 30 biscuits.
===Cost===
29p.
===My Opinion===
It used to be the case that if you wanted a decent ginger biscuit you bought Mc Vities - however that does no longer have to be the case.
I have in the past bought cheaper ginger nuts but would often find them disappointing as they would tend to be too hard and the texture was not correct.
This is not the case with these newly re-launched Everyday Value biscuits as I think they are very close, if not as good as, the Mc Vities ones.
These biscuits are perfect in their appearance with a slight cracking on the top.
Personally I like to dunk my ginger nuts in tea - which these do really well, gettiong soft but not falling apart into your mug. However the good thing about these biscuits is that their texture is so good you can eat them un-dunked without any harm to your teeth!
These biscuits are just the right texture - not being too soft or rock hard. They have a lovely gingery/lemony taste and are a great buy.
They do not taste like 'value' biscuits at all and I am sure if put out on a plate no one would guess.
These have no artificial ingredients and at under 30p for a packet of 30 biscuits are an inexpensive treat for anytime.
I am sure that since Tesco have re-launched their Value Range as 'Everyday Value' the quality of some of the items has really improved as well.
