Advantages: tasty, not expensive
Disadvantages: none ive come across
I have to admit, Jaffa Cakes are something I could eat all day every day without getting bored of them. I have a real sweet tooth and these are my favourite.
Whilst spending a week home alone with my friend earlier in the month, we couldn't really afford to splurge on goodies so we opted for the cheap things. These were the first in our trolley (along with lots of crisps, chicken burgers and chips). Costing only 38p for a pack containing 24 cakes, it is very good value!
As you can see from the image, the packaging is the standard 'Tesco Value' that you would expect. Nutritional information, ingredients etc are all on the back. The jaffa cakes are in 2 seperate packages inside for convenience.
Personally, I think these taste a little nicer than usual Jaffa Cakes due to them being a little more orangey, making them sweeter.
They do look exactly the same, but I think the orange bit might be a bit more spead out. The dark chocolate top layer is crunchy and tastes gorgeous with the gelly orange. The sponge base mixes well which I did not expect from Tesco Value.
I would buy these again, as to me they taste good enough.
Summary: very yummy
