I love chocolate biscuits, all the great favourites, chocolate Hob-Nobs, bourbons, chocolate fingers and of course McVities Milk Chocolate Digestives, But then the credit crunch started and to help save money I looked at where I could save money. I've even given up my regular Hotel Chocolat for cheaper versions. However would my love of biscuits be satisfied with Value versions? I mean how good could they be for an average of 30p a packet? The first noticeable difference is the size, they definitely have a smaller circumference, and lack the thickness compared to full price ones. The appearance of them isn't exactly inspiring, the biscuit ... Read the complete review

I have been penny pinching when shopping again and more so when it comes to the biscuit isle. I have had a lot of success with the cheaper biscuits and my boys have enjoyed them so I thought I would give their Value milk chocolate digestive biscuits a go for a change. ~~PACKAGING~~ The biscuits come in a plastic wrapper which is white and blue in colour. The front has the Tesco Value logo on it and a picture showing some of the biscuits. On the reverse of the wrapper we have all of the product information including the ingredient and allergy advice. It is here that you can also find the nutritional values. The ends of the wrapper are ... Read the complete review

I am currently attempting to improve my diet and reduce my bad snacking habits - this is the main reason why! These biscuits are my absolute favourite and I have a severe weakness for them. They are part of the Value range from Tesco, and are available with either a plain chocolate or milk chocolate coating. My biscuit of choice is the milk chocolate digestive. They cost a measly 35p for a 300g packet and are an absolute bargain! The biscuits come in a simple plastic wrapper, with the plain and boring Tesco value blue and white stripe design. There is an easy open tear tab at one end, and unlike other easy open packaging, this one actually works! The only ... Read the complete review

Well today I really blew the diet out of the window as I was tempted by Tesco Value Milk Chocolate Digestives when I went shopping today, its not often I go to Tesco's so I always go a little mad when I get there and see how cheap their own value products are. All the tesco's value packaging is in white, red and blue so that its easy to spot on the supermarket shelves and its a basic simple design which i presume helps to keep the price low. I paid just 34p for a packet of 300g and when I saw how cheap they were diet or no diet I just had to have them. When I got home I put the kettle on and opened the packet, they looked just like any other ... Read the complete review

It's weird because I like the plain Tesco Value Digestives and you'd think these milk chocolate ones would be even better, but they're worse because the chocolate is so cheap tasting. They're 30p for a 300g pack, the biscuits are smaller than the ones you get in McVities but they are thicker and there's deffo more in the pack. The chocolate doesn't look much like proper chocolate, last night I had one of these and a McVities chocolate digestive and these ones deffo LOOK a lot cheaper. The taste is just like that too. Because of the biscuit being thicker it means the texture is all different, these are crunchy but they don't feel crumbly ... Read the complete review
