I am not usually a peanut eater. Whilst I have always liked them its just never been something I would usually add to my shopping list. But whilst I decided to have a beer the other night in front of the TV I really fancied some peanuts, no idea why I just really did so the next time I went to Tescos I bought a packet.

I didn't have any idea how much a packet of peanuts was going to cost me but 27p for a 200g I thought was very good value, considering the other brands were at cheapest in the 70-80p area.

The packaging is the standard Tesco value packaging. White with the blue label with the attractive red "value" stamped across on it. The nutritional value is easily visible on the front with some foreign writing on it, no idea what that says though.

The nutrients per 100g as stated on the bag:

Carbohydrate - 13.8g
of which sugars - 3.5g
Fat - 49.6 g
of which saturates - 9.9g
Fibre - 6.8g
Sodium - 0.3g
Salt Equivalent - 0.8g

The peanuts them self are the same size as any other brans of peanuts, similar colour but maybe darker than any sort of peanut I have seen before.

The taste is I can tell quite noticeably not as salty as the more expensive brands, which to be is a bonus as I am not a big fan of salt and also I find the other brands make me really thirsty and start to sting my lips from the amount of salt used, but it does add to the flavor more.

If these peanuts where out of the wrapper and placed in a bowl at a party no one would turn there noses up at them.

For value for money these peanuts are very good. Would I buy again? ... I already have! :)
