Knowing my parents were coming to stay this week one thing I grabbed was a few packets of these shortcake fingers cos he loves them and these at 27p a pack seemed a decent buy to me!
The Packaging:

The packet is plastic and oblong in shape and blue, red and white in colour and there is a photograph of the fingers on the front of it and we are told that it is Tesco 'Value' Shortbread Fingers 'Delicious crumbly shortbread fingers' and there is an at a glance nutritional chat show and the weight is stated which is 125g. On the back of the packet other information listed includes ingredients and allergy advice being given, there is a full nutritional chart listed and contact details for Tesco are given. This is cheap looking packaging but easy to tear open etc.

The Shortbread Fingers:

Oblong and cream in colour, each one is thick, with fork holes to the top of them giving them a baked appearance with a small dusting of white granulated sugar on each one too.

Made from wheat flour and butter (as well as a few other things) these are crunchy and for me although they are not overly sweet but sweet enough in a very natural way they do lack a buttery flavour to me. For me these are too crunchy and don't melt in the mouth enough for me and simply taste a bit too floury and hard. Not for me these and my Step-Dad didn't appreciate them either!
