Advantages: Cheap and tasty

Disadvantages: A little dry without dips

I first tried these crisps a while ago at my friends party. She had them along side some salsa and garlic dip, and I can say that at the party I must have polished off the whole lot!

So before having a DVD night in with my friends, I picked myself a bag of these Tortilla chips from tesco's. Now I know some tesco's value products can sometimes have a bad reputation of being cheap and not good quality. But with this product, I am happy to report that this is not the case.

To me these chips, taste just like Doritoes crisps, except without the flavour, and are also about the same size. They have a lovely texture and are brilliantly crunchy. Even after being opened for a while, they really do keep their freshness.

These, tesco's tortilla chips, as it states on the front of the packet, are lightly salted. And it also states, "no artificial flavours, colours or MSG." The bag itself is 200g. They are also suitable for vegetarians.

For one bag of these tortilla chips, is only 40p, which I think is a very reasonable price, especially for a poor student such as myself! Another great thing about these crisps is that there is plenty in one bag for at least three people to share and have a munch on!

These crisps are great for parties, along with a selection of dips. These aren't as tasty as other versions of the same type of crisps, but they are brilliant for a cheaper alternative.

I think that, for the price of them, these crisps are very good value. I wouldn't necessarily eat these on their own, for the plain fact that they can be quite dry and flavourless. I usually buy these along with the Tesco hot salsa dip, which is also super tasty! So both the chips and salsa together make a very tasty (and cheap) snack.

Summary: A cheap and tasty product
