I brought a box of these limited edition White Chocolate Cup Cakes when they was on special offer in Tesco on Xmas Eve, I think it was 2 boxes for £2.00 and because I'd got to buy cakes anyway I got a box of these and a box of the chocolate ones.

Their proper name is Winter White Cup Cakes and they are a vanilla sponge cake with white chocolate icing. The icing looks mega thick but it's not really and it's not very Fabulous to put extra icing down the sides of the cake to make it look like thick chocolate. They lose one star for that bit of snide!

They taste nice, I'm not into white chocolate but this is very tasty. It's weird but because the white chocolate is not very good quality on the cup cakes I like it better than I would if it was brill creamy proper white chocolate. With these cup cakes there's quite a strong icing flavour that mixes with the chocolate and that makes it lovely and sweet with a delish sugary taste.

The sponge is yummy, it's got a lovely light texture and melts in your mouth as you eat it. The vanilla flavour in the sponge goes wicked with the white chocolate icing and the whole cake has got a mega sweet taste. I love how if you eat the icing seperate to the sponge and then eat a bit of them together they taste completely different, it's like a different cake!!!

The white chocolate icing is lovely and soft, like I said it's a lot thinner than it looks but that's a good thing because if it was thicker the cake would deffo be too sickly. If you've had Fabulous Baking Boys Cup Cakes before you'll know they're all quite sweet, these are deffo the sweetest variety I've tried but they're delish at the same time.

I think these will be around for a bit yet even though they're limited edition, sometimes the Baking Boys bring limited edition cakes out again and again anyway so you're bound to see them another time..... even if it's Xmas 2010!!!
