Advantages: Gorgeous chewy chocolatey taste
Disadvantages: More expensive than other similar chewy bars
I have always been a fan of Tracker bars and these particular version - the chocolate chip variety is by far my favourite. No surprise there really as I am a massive chocolate fan!
The bars come in a very sturdy cardboard box and there is a perforated flap at the top to help you open it. This then remains open which makes it easy for you to reach in and get more bars out. The box is mainly beige and brown on the front and actually appears a little old fashioned with the colour scheme but I don't buy them for the box so I'll let them go! Inside the box are 8 individually wrapped bars. The bars are wrapped in the same colour scheme plastic wrappers which are easy to tear open. There is a sweet smell when you open it but I'm not sure I would be able to distinguish what the product was from the smell, apart from the fact that it was sweet.
They are described on the side of the box as 'cereal bar with chewy oats, crisped rice, peanuts and chocolate chips. As you would hope if this is how they describe them on the box, this is exactly how they taste when you eat them. They are jam packed with nuts and gloriously chewy bits of oats and chocolate. What I like about these bars is the fact that you can really taste the chocolate drops in them. Sometimes in a bar like this the chocolate can taste synthetic and not very prominent but there is a strong taste of it in these, and tastes like a good quality chocolate.
They are really chewy with the occasional hard crunch due to the peanuts and are just delicious to eat. Really, really tasty and make you want another!
In one bar there are 126 calories and 6.2g of fat. These are available to buy from most supermarkets but cost £1.99 from Tescos. They aren't that cheap but are very nice so it softens the financial blow a bit!
Summary: Lovely chocolatey chewy bars with a great peanut flavour.
