“ Brand: Viktoria / Type: Snack „
Whilst shopping in Ikea with my husband just over a week ago, he decided to put a packet of these into our shopping basket. I had never tried them before and just put it down to being a different form of his Swedish crisp bread. When we got home he decided to have some for a snack and offered me one so I thought that I would give it a try... *The product* Skorpor are wholegrain crisp rolls that originate from the south of Sweden. If in home made recipes, these can be referred to as Swedish toast. The products are wholegrain crisp rolls that remind me of wholegrain small baguettes which have been halved and toasted. The product is rich in cereals which can help to promote a nutritional and healthy diet. Skorpor is perfect for any time of the day either as a snack, or as part of a meal. My husband specifies that for breakfast, the Swedes ea them with marmalade or butter & for a snack it is popular for them to be eaten with prawns or cheese. *What do I think?* They are very crispy like crisp bread but as they are thicker they have a lot more flavour. They are pleasantly light and absolutely delicious with a very small hint of a sweet flavour to them. Considering that they are toasted and crispy they are not overly dry either. My favourite way to eat them is with cheese and cherry tomatoes. Being a typical woman I am always trying to lose weight and seem to be on a diet. At the moment, I m doing the calorie controlled way and these are perfect as they are only 90 calories per two skorpa. I am absolutely addicted to them & have eaten them for breakfast & lunch today! *Value for money* The pack is around £1.15 for 200g or roughly 15 skorpor. Considering that I tend to have 3 per serving, that works out to around 23 p per serving which in my opinion is excellent value for money. We buy ours from Ikea though they can be purchased from a number of supermarkets these days under different brands. *Will I buy them again?* Oh yes, I sure will. After our trip to Ikea yesterday, there are currently 5 bags in my cupboard and believe me, when they have gone there will be more!
