Walker's Crisps Builder's Breakfast Snacks

Product Type: Walkers Snacks

Newest Review: ... 34.5g bags, but they were selling arounf 50p when they first came out. Walkers must have made a packet from the competition. ... more

... I see you still get these in 6 bag multipacks, which cost around £1.30, or part of the Asda 3 for £3 deal just now. The pack looks ok. Has a nice picture of a fry up on the front. So how do these Crisps taste? Eggy. The flavouring is meant to be of Eggs, Bacon, Buttered Toast and Sausage. Although each flavouring does taste like how you would expect, as the Buttered Toast tastes nice and Buttery, and the Bacon is a nice smokey taste, everything is overpowered by the Egg flavour. It could be because i'm not s...more

Walker's Crisps Builder's Breakfast: The Fish & Chips Flavour Should Have Won!! These Are Terribl ... (380 words)

I cannot believe this flavour won the Walkers Competition for the best new crisp flavour, then again the rest of the range were even worse than this so I guess I cant really speculate. Anyway when the new flavours were bought out last year I did try and buy all of them to try them at least once before 5 of them disappeared forever. And the Builders Breakfast pack was the last flavour I tried. To be honest though even though this flavour won the Walkers competition I haven't seen it being sold anywhere recently so maybe most people had the same thoughts as ma and decide after one packet to stay the hell away from these crisps for the rest of time Nutritional ...  Read the complete review

I absolutely love crisps and can easily sit and eat quite a few bags in one sitting with no problem, and quite often do! This is a fairly new flavour and if interested you need to grab a bag (also available in a variety bag with other flavours or as a pack of six, I bought mine as an an individual packet for 59p) as they are on trial and it's up to you to decide which flavour you would like to become a regular fixture on sale from Cajun Squirrel, Onion Bhaji, Fish & Chips, Duck & Hoison Sauce, Chilli & Chocolate and of course Builder's Breakfast (this flavour). I have only tired Fish & chip flavour from this range and found them utterly ...  Read the complete review

Walker's Crisps Builder's Breakfast: OK but I'd rather have a fry-up (563 words)

I love crisps but am a bit fussy and only tend to eat certain brands. I'm not a huge Walkers fan as I find their crisps OK but nothing special. I prefer crisps with a bit more crunch in them, like Doritos, McCoys or Kettle Chips. However I am a sucker for unusual flavours and when I first heard about the Walkers new flavour competition I figured I'd probably end up giving them a try. For anyone who doesn't know, Walkers ran a competition for people to invent a new crisp flavour. Six finalists were short-listed and won £10000 each. The six flavours are now on sale so that the public can vote for their favourite - the flavour with the most votes will be Walkers ...  Read the complete review

These were the second of the new flavours that I decided to try and, to be honest, the jury is still out on how I feel about their taste....supposedly combining the flavours of a traditional english breakfast, the crisps are alleged to be made up of bacon, egg and sausage flavours reminiscent of the most important meal of the day. My initial response was one of huge disappointment; I had read reviews on here that compared this variety to something created in the factory of Willy Wonka in that each crisp tastes of a different part of the breakfast. Maybe if you eat one crisp at a time, this works but I have this tendency to just pile them in one after the ...  Read the complete review

I finally jumped onto the bandwagon that is the Walker's Crisp New Flavour Competition. Just incase you haven't seen the ubiquitous television commercials I'll explain more about the competition. After inviting members of the public to submit their ideas for a new and exciting crisp flavour, Walker's whittled the entries down to six finalists, manufactured the flavours and put these special crisps on the market. Only one of the six can stay and be the new permanant flavour though. The public are invited to vote for their flavourite of the six by voting for free by text message or via their company website. The other flavours are Fish and Chips, Chilli and Chocolate, ...  Read the complete review
