Advantages: Good quality, flavoursome
Disadvantages: Weird tasting and greasy and far too salty
I absolutely love crisps and can easily sit and eat quite a few bags in one sitting with no problem, and quite often do!
This is a fairly new flavour and if interested you need to grab a bag (also available in a variety bag with other flavours or as a pack of six, I bought mine as an an individual packet for 59p) as they are on trial and it's up to you to decide which flavour you would like to become a regular fixture on sale from Cajun Squirrel, Onion Bhaji, Fish & Chips, Duck & Hoison Sauce, Chilli & Chocolate and of course Builder's Breakfast (this flavour). I have only tired Fish & chip flavour from this range and found them utterly revolting which put me off trying any other new flavours to be perfectly honest with you as I hated them so much! However how can I help to choose a regular flavour for Walkers (one of my favourite brands of crisps) without trying them all out!
In multi-bags I'm pretty sure they are 35g bags in size however as I have said I purchased mine as a single purchase so my plastic light blue and red bag with white, light yellow and black writing on it weighs 46g (hence the price of them being rather high). On the front I'm told on the left hand corner 'Do us a flavour pick us a winner) and then I'm told they are Walkers, Builder's Breakfast Flavour Potato Crisps. Then there is a drawn on medal on the front where I'm told 'Vote for me!' and then there is a picture of a breakfast on a plate and told that it represents Emma fro Bleper's inspiration for her flavour (she named) and then finally on the left hand bottom corner there is an at a glance nutritional chart given. On the back all in black writing I'm told how to vote for a flavour, nutritional information and ingredients are listed, the best before date is stamped on along with storage details, I'm told they contain no MSN, no artificial colours, that they are suitable for vegetarians and suitable for coeliacs as well. Finally the weight is stated as is the recycle symbol and finally the bar-code is on there. It's an attractive bag in design, easy to open and is silver foil on the inside to keep the crisps fresh.
Weird again! Appearance wise they are a light golden colour and quite greasy in taste. Taste wise very salty with a taste of smoky bacon to them (the same as smoky bacon Walkers crisps really) with a weird after taste of sweet egg that comes to your taste-buds as you swallow the. The last time I had a taste like that was when I burped once and had a bad stomach!
They smell of egg and bacon and are quite flavoursome but I'm not at all pleased that I can't taste the egg until swallowed! It's all very strange.
Bacon and eggy crisps. Far too salty and a tad to sweet and greasy for me, though good quality they are to be fair. On the picture on the front of the packet bacon, egg, tomato, sausage and a blob of tomato sauce are shown but I really can't taste anything but bacon and egg. They do leave (as I said earlier) have a weird eggy after-taste that's really salty and so if you buy these get yourself a drink to hand cos they leave you parched after scoffing them!
