      A nice adult snack.

Walkers Chilli & Lemon Flavour potato crisps.

Walkers have brought out a new flavoured crisp, Chilli and Lemon flavoured which we thought could be used as a snack when having drinks. They are available in single packs or in multipack bags of six for approximately £1.20. The contents of the bag weigh 25gr.

On opening the bag you are immediately aware of the smell of lemon which is quite overpowering. I was a little alarmed to see the crisps are quite a bright red colour presumably from the chilli powder and paprika. Walkers claim that they use real chilli powder and lemon juice to flavour the crisps.

      Taste test.

On the tongue you can definitely taste the lemon then all of a sudden the chilli kicks in and there is a pleasant burn to the tongue and the insides of your cheeks as the chilli comes into contact with them. There is a not too unpleasant warming taste which probably would not be suitable for children. I think perhaps this is an adult crisp and I can't see many children going back for more. This is certainly a good snack to eat whilst drinking if you like a bit of a bite. I thought there may have been a taste of lemon grass but surprisingly it is really of lemon. Chilli and lemon is quite a nice combination of flavours.

Would I buy them again? Yes.
Would I offer them to children? Probably not.
Would I recommend them to you? Yes.

They are not the usual run of the mill cheese and onion or salt and vinegar flavour and I don't really see them being in the main stream for everyday use.
