Advantages: The beef ones are yummy; Wicked texture
Disadvantages: The pickled onion flavour!
Yesterday I ate 2 packs of Monster Munch, they were different flavours so I thought I'd tell you about them because one pack was wicked and the other was rank! lol
I had a pack of the beef and a pack of pickled onion flavour, the beef crisps were lovely. They have got loads of flavouring on and taste proper meaty, you can tell it's beef flavouring and I reckon that's important because a lot of the meat flavoured crisps don't taste like the actual meat and even though you can say MEATY that doesn't necessarily say the beef ones will taste of beef!
The pickled onion Monster Munch I didn't get on that well with and I thought they were horrible. The flavour is very sharp and after I'd eaten half the pack my tongue felt a bit sore. The flavour is a mix of vinegar and onion and my mouth has started aching just thinking about them as I type this! The vinegar is very tangy and I don't think eating these crisps was very enjoyable.
The only difference in them is the flavour because the texture of the crisp is the same. They are quite small, not tiny small but not as big as I remember them being. The crisps are shaped like monster feet and are quite chunky, I like the toes coming off them because when you're getting to the end of the pack you can bite them off one by one and make the crisps last a bit longer.
They go lovely and sticky when you're chewing or if you let them melt in your mouth. I didn't like the feeling at first because they stick to the roof of your mouth but it grew on me big time and now I love how different they are to other crisps.
I got mine in the shop by me but I've seen them in multipacks in the supermarket, my bags cost about 50p each and I was happy with that for the beef ones but I reckon the guy in the shop should be paying ME compensation for my sore tongue after he sold me the hazardous pickled onion flavour!!!
Summary: Yummy Crisps That Aren't Just For Kids!
