Having recently reviewed Walker's Quavers and being a massive crisps addict I thought I would also review another crisp from them, perhaps my crisps kryptonite. Monster Munch is a crunchy, crumbly crisp that come in the shape of 'monsters feet'. This pretty much means that they have 4 extremities coming out from the centre ... Read the complete review

Chances are then that you will also have fond memories of such nostalgic crisps as Monster Munch! I love to rediscover things that remind me of my childhood, and food is always a good way to do ... I have but three vices in life: smoking, drinking, and...Monster Munch. For many admirers of this wundersnack, the appeal is nostalgia. The smell of the pickled onion, and the unique texture, bring back childhood memories. But I've been a lifelong devotee, unswerving in my loyalty. I may have flirted with Doritos, and given ... I sometimes think that Monster Munch sells purely on nostalgia, for as long as I can remember they've been living firmly in the novelty crisp category with "Transform-a-Snack" and "Space Raiders." I have been eating a lot of snacks recently, a little more than usual as I have been working away and have had to grab snacks on my travels to keep my hunger at bay and I bought a packet of these for only 45p for a 40g bag as I love them and the flavour I bought was the Pickled Onion flavour, which is one of my favourites and they are ... I've never really been a massive fan of crisps. But ever since I was a kid monster munch have had a special place in my heart. There have been several flavours over the years, with the main ones now being Flamin' Hot, Roast Beef and my all time favourite Pickled Onion.Around two years ago, the crisps were restored to their original larger size. The original retro designs were also brought back for the packaging. I must say that I prefer the crisps like this. Granted you only get about 8 in a packet now, but the larger crisps definitely suit the idea of the brand. The crisps are available in single packs, as well as multi packs where you get around 4 of each flavour.

Today I am reviewing one of my favourite crisps of all time - Pickled Onion flavour Monster Munch! We have a relationship going back many years, and I keep this relationship fresh and alive by giving these crisps a place in my stomach on the odd occasion rather than receiving them repeatedly until we both get bored and tired of each ... I hadn't had Monster Munch for ages. When I think of Monster Munch I always think of Pickled Onion, which I am partial to the odd bag of this flavour of Crisps, but it isn't my favourite in any way. However the Flaming Hot Monster Munch is available in more places in the individual bags, so I had a pack the other day and remembered why I ... Read the complete review

I have enjoyed monster munch crisps for as long as I can remember and I think what attracted me to them as a youngster was the funky packaging as each flavour used to have a picture of a brightly coloured monster on a bright shiny background. Walkers have recently given 'Monster Munch' a bit of a makeover: the packaging has changed (simpler, more 'retro', brighter and bolder) and the bags are bigger, advertised as 'bigger like before' (and priced a little higher - around 55p for a standard bag, compared to 45p). Monster munch crisps used to be very popular but I feel in recent years they have started to decline in popularity somewhat. Monster Munch fall, without a doubt, into the category of "guilty pleasure" for me. Or at least they would do if I actually felt particularly guilty about eating them!
