Advantages: Light, pleasant cheesy taste, unique texture

Disadvantages: Not very filling

Sometimes I get hungry and I fancy a packet of crisps, but then again I have to think about the next meal I'm going to have; I don't want to spoil it! Well, no crisps are really 'healthy' but it's a good thing that there are some that are low-cal and you can eat between meals without throwing you off your appetite when the time comes. And Quavers are one of them.

PACKAGING:
The front of the packet is bright yellow and is likely to catch your attention. The Quavers logo is in a white cloud and is in green floaty text. Above the Quavers logo is the Walkers logo (who made them) and in the logo in tinier print reads "light curly potato snack" which is basically what they are!
Below that is "cheese flavour" in orange text, and next to that is a few Quavers. On the top right hand side of the packet is "88 Calories" in green text, a reminder that these crisps are healthier than most. The back is a little less exciting. It is white and it just tells you ingredients, nutrition info, the address of the Walkers factory in case you are not satisfied and some info about the crisps:

Curly little things, Quavers, and no two are the same. Some twistier, some that wrap around your tongue but they're all crunchy and melty, and pleasingly cheesy. So go on, pop one in your mouth!

Sounds very tempting.

SMELL:
When I open the Quavers packet I am greeted by a nice cheese smell. Not strong like Wotsits yet not mild like Mini Cheddars, but somewhere in the middle.

LOOKS, TASTE AND TEXTURE:
The Quavers are a yellow colour with orange speckles; not coated in flavour but sprinkled. They are all in curly shapes and they don't look like 'normal crisps' at all!
I pop one in my mouth. These crisps are very crunchy but they also gently dissolve in your mouth if you leave it on your tongue for long enough. This is ideal for younger children; they're less likely to choke. The taste is cheesy like the smell: not strong or mild, but in the middle. It is a very pleasing taste, but I think it could be nicer if it was a bit stronger.

You can get Quavers from supermarkets, convenience stores and newsagents so they're not rare to find at all! I would recommend anyone looking for a light and tasty snack. Myself I don't like them as much as other crisps but I definitely like them!

Summary: These cheesy pleasures are tasty yet light too! Less likely to spoil meals!
