“ Brand: Walkers / Type: Crisps „
This flavour is quite new in the Walkers Sensation range. I only tried these around Chirstmas time as the 150g bags of Sensations were reduced to 74p in Asda for a short time. You get some of the Sensation flavours in 40g bags, but i've not seen these ones in that size. They normally cost around £1.50.
Still the same black shiny bag with a colourful swirl on the front. The bag is easy enough to open, not like Kettle Chips which can be quite hard.
These Crisps seem a good quality Crisp. Not really any bad bits in them and most of them are pretty large in size. There is a few broken ones down the bottom of the bag as usual, but the majority are big and very crispy and crunchy.
At first I wasn't so keen on the flavour. This wasn't when I tasted them, just that i'm not too keen on Herbs. I had the image of these tasting like Quavers with a strong Herb taste through them, but I was wrong. The Cheese taste was light, but quite strong. They were a little tangy, but this taste was like a Pizza without the tomato Base. That doesn't sound like a nice taste but it was in a simple way. The Herb taste was certainly present, but it was again in a subtle way and not that strong either.
These were simple Crisps with a delicate, but built up flavouring. Although perhaps not my most favourite flavour in the range, I would buy these now and again just for a light change.
I tried these Sensations crisps for the first time last night and they've immediately become my fave flavour out of the whole range, I say that for most of the Sensations range but this Buffalo Mozzarella And Herb flavour is easily the tastiest of the lot.
The crisps have got the same delish thick and crunchy texture as all the rest of the Sensations, the crisps aren't as large as some of them in the Sensations range but that's good for me because I'm not mad keen on crisps that are so big I can't hardly get them in my gob!
The flavour of them is mega easy to describe, they taste like pizza but without the tomato. That's obviously because of the mozzarella but the herbs on the crisps have also been chose to recreate a pizza flavour.
This sounds mad because they are so crunchy but these have got a mega creamy flavour, they honestly do taste like mozzarella cheese and the herbs are lovely and subtle. When you put a crisp in your mouth the herby flavour comes off on your tongue and it's then that the delish creamy taste happens.
It's a proper mad contrast because the crisps have got such a lush crispy texture but then when you realise the flavour is so smooth and creamy.............. it's just the nicest treat EVER!
The pizza flavour is a wicked surprise because when I opened the bag I really wasn't expecting it. They've got a bit of a greasy smell and I think that's why the yummy flavour was such a shocker, I wasn't expecting to like them at all but I hoenstly LOVE them. I'm not usually mad keen on crisps that have got a herby flavour but it works proper nice with the mozzarella and who could moan at pizza flavoured crisps???
I've now eaten a big share bag of these crisps and am so glad I tried them, I've seen these in the shops before but always thought the flavour sounded a bit too weird for me and that just shows that you should try something before knocking it.
I paid £1.00 for this bag because they are on special offer in Morrisons, the normal price is about £1.30 and that's still a bargain for such a yummy bag of crisps.
