Advantages: Very tasty and crunchy
Disadvantages: Small bags...
As you can tell from my previous reviews, I'm a bit of a crisp-aholic - I eat at least one bag most days, so am always on the lookout for something a little bit healthier, or something unusual. I paid £1.37 for a 6-bag multipack in Tesco, but are often on offer at £2 for £2 - not the cheapest crisps ever but comparable with other kinds.
I love savoury flavours, so was tempted by the prospect of 'Oven-roasted onion and rosemary' - it was a combination of this, the attractive green packaging and prominent mention of Wholegrains on the bag which convinced me that these would probably be tasty as well as healthy.
When I opened the bag, it didn't seem very full! But I often find this with crisps - I suppose the air helps protect them in transit. The aroma was absolutely lovely - very mouthwatering, and I could already pick out the onion and rosemary smells. They are rectangular and quite 'bitty' looking, in that the grains are visible on the surface. They are actually quite big to get in your mouth in one go (but I managed!) They are also darker brown than most crisps and have a more 'wholesome' look.
They have a lovely satisfying crunch, and the flavour does not disappoint. The flavours of onion and rosemary are quite strong, and they are also quite salty. They seem more satisfying than many crisps and fill me up for longer. The only problem is that they're so moreish that I find myself polishing off 2 bags in a row!
