Little reminds me of my childhood as much as a hot toasted crumpets spread thickly with butter and honey or jam. They bring back memories of cold evenings, snuggled with mum, happy times. Whilst wandering around the bread aisles of the supermarket I noticed the crumpets and wondered whether my own young son would like them. Crumpets are so easy to serve. I like mine toasted (although you can just eat them straight from the packet) and I find that they're easier to toast under the grill rather than in a toaster as you have more control over how well done they are. I always toast both sides though! Once toasted spread with butter and jam, honey or even ... Read the complete review

Nothing beats a nice cup of tea and a buttered toasted crumpet! I hadn't had a crumpet in years and then one day as I was aimlessly wandering round my local tesco these caught my eye. Warburton's is well known for producing good quality food so I thought I'd give them a try. It is 72p for a 6 pack so they aren't exactly expensive! I toasted one that night for supper and it was damn good actually! They are amazing with butter but I have also discovered that they are equally as good with a nice chocolate spread such as Nutella. I must mention that they are less than 1% fat but that is obviously before butter and toppings are added! They are ... Read the complete review

~ THE CRUMPETS ~ The crumpets are made by Warburtons who are a well-known family bakers and make a large range of bakery products including bread and rolls. Their products can be found in all good supermarkets and local shops. The 6 crumpets sit in a cardboard sleeve which is orange in colour and has a yellow sun on. It also states that the product is made by Warburtons and that they are a family bakers. The crumpets are then sealed in plastic packaging to keep them fresh. The cardboard sleeve only covers the bottom and sides of the crumpets so you can actually see the crumpets through the plastic wrapper. The crumpets are a very light colour with some ... I purchased these this week after enduring a shop branded pack of crumpets and not enjoying a single one of them, and I can safely say that it was totally worth it for me. Warburtons, a family baking company from Blackpool in Lancashire, delight our palettes daily with their breads, buns and gluten free items as well as their simply gorgeous crumpets which I have now had every day for breakfast and adore so much I wanted to sing their praises. Roughly 4 inches round and an inch thick, these crumpets, I would say are the absolute top of their class. They are low in fat (which is always a bonus), contain no egg so are ideal for vegetarians too and ... Read the complete review

A crumpet is a sweet and savoury bread snack made from flour and yeast and is typically British. It's cooked on a flat top griddle instead of being baked in an oven like bread, which gives it a porous texture. They are often round in shape although can they can also be square. They taste bland until you add a topping and then the common crumpet becomes the most delicious mouth watering breakfast or snack you can imagine. They offer a healthier alternative to bread, depending on what you smother on top! In order to cook the crumpet, all you need to do is to pop it in the toaster for a few minutes and then when it's piping hot, you can add the topping of your ... Read the complete review
