Advantages: excellent value for money; filling
I sometimes get bits and pieces of food in Marks & Spencer as they do have some good offers and my partner has recently been buying crumpets from them. However, I also shop in Iceland a fair bit and spotted these Warburton's Crumpets (Thick & Fluffy). On the pack it says they are the 'No. 1 crumpet'. Now, I cannot say that I totally agree with this as most crumpets I have had taste the same, however, they are very good and excellent value for money. You get 9 crumpets for only £1.00. Also Warburton's is a well-known brand and in my view, a good quality brand; so from now on, most often Warburton's crumpets is what I buy. I do not know if other supermarkets sell them as cheap as this but I doubt very much you could get them anywhere else cheaper.
I love crumpets! The way I like them is well done, so the top is a bit crispy; I then put cheese on the top with onions and put them under the grill for a few minutes.
These Warburton's crumpets are 'fluffy' inside and the butter melts all the way through (I recommend quite a lot of butter). Yes, I know it's fattening but as with all crumpets you seem to need a lot of butter!
