Advantages: Everything but it tastes great and is good on calories and fat intake in particular!
Disadvantages: None at all
My most favourite food in the world (so far lol) is bread and my Mother actually calls me the bread bung! It has to be white for me and I usually like it thick but seriously I can get through a whole loaf in a day and it drives other people in my home dotty! I can live without a lot of foods but bread is one of them I cannot and believe I tried one hour once upon a time lol!
Because I'm trying very hard to be healthy at the moment I've been eating wholemeal bread. It isn't so bad when it comes to sandwiches but for my favourite meal of jam sandwiches or marmalade on toast I'm not one bit keen so the other day when I saw my Mother had got herself some of this Warburtons Farmhouse Bread I couldn't resist but nick some to try. I am such a fan of Warburtons Toasting Bread and I just knew I was going to love this and when i looked at the nutritional values of this on the bag at 101 calories a slice I was pleasantly surprised!
Clear plastic bag. On it I'm told clearly what it is and who it's by of course and on the back ingredients, nutritional information and allergy advice is all given, storage instructions is listed, contact details for Warburtons are also given, size is stated (800g), I'm told it is suitable for Vegetarians and finally there is a bar-code on there. Simple packaging and I do like to able to see the soft white, nice looking bread through the bag too!
Ok I counted 21 slices of bread in my bag lol. Smaller than average slices if your familiar with Weightwatchers and/or Nimble bread your looking at sizes as big as that per slice. It is quite thick really and bouncy to the touch and of course white with golden edges to it. The two crusts (one at each end of the loaf of course) are a lot thicker that the other bread slices but wow they are delicious!
This is an excellent quality robust bread. By that I mean it doesn't crumble or flake and because it's not too thin it's great for toasting as well as making fried bread with it and sandwiches and stuff like that. It has a lovely fresh wheaty smell to it and taste wise it is really is simply bready, well seasoned and simply tastes fresh (as long as you store it correctly and it is freezable too!).
An excellent quality bread and it's become a real favourite of mine lately. It has a really traditional look, feel and taste to it and is lush!
