I am often shocked at the price of a loaf of bread and I actually even begrudge buying it! It has gone up sp much in price over the last few years that it really annoys me. Sometimes I just really want to buy a small loaf, but the cost of those is only a bit less than the cost of a big loaf. What I try to do these days is, buy a large loaf and if I don't think I will use it all in a short time, then I may freeze half of it and use that half just for toast. If I don't do this I am sometimes finding that I have to throw some of the bread in the bin which is a waste. Anyway, I sometimes buy this Warburton's bread. For some reason every now and again you can get it on special offer at various supermarkets priced at a £1.00. Even though I still think a pound a loaf is too expensive, its rare to fins a good quality loaf of bread for less than about £1.15 so in that way, this is a decent offer.

The loaf is large too and the bread is not stodgy or doughy like some basic brands can be. It tastes lovely and fresh; quite light and makes excellent sandwiches. The crust of the bread is nice too; not hard like some loaves can be; nice and soft and the actual slices of bread are quite large in size.
