***WARBURTONS*** Warburton's are a family bakers and have been making bread since 1870 which started off in a small grocery shop in Bolton which is still there and across the road from Warburton's HQ! In 1876 there was a slump in the grocery trade which prompt Ellen to bake bread, with her first batch selling out in under an hour. It was after this that they decided to rename the shop 'Warburton's The Bakers'. In 1965 Warburton's bought out their still popular Milk Roll which is still a firm favourite in households up and down the country.
