Advantages: low fat, low calorie.

Disadvantages: Quite flavourless

Weight Watchers Cheese Flavour Puffs are a puffed maize savoury snack. If you have tried Wotsits, they are the same principle. I really like Wotsits, so these are my diet substitute really. I know they are not trying to be wotsits, but it's hard not to make a comparison. In a nutshell, they are not so cheesy and not so puffed and have a harder texture.

You can buy a multi pack of cheese puffs (5 bags) for about £1.50 in the supermarket. I got a bag for just £1 at Poundland this lunchtime.....20p per bag isn't bad! They are packaged in a white bag with a blue weight watchers logo on it and a picture of the product. They are labeled as, 'Deliciously cheesy melt in the mough maize snacks.'

When you open a packet of these snacks, you don't get a hit of cheese, infact they don't smell much of anything at all. They are much smaller than I expected them to be, but you do get quite a lot in a bag. They taste quite disappointing as they don't have much flavour at all. They do kind of melt in your mouth, but the lack of taste seriously lets them down.

The snacks are baked, not fried and contain only 1 weight watchers point per bag, so from that point of view they are a winner. There are just 75 calories in a bag. They contain milk and are manufactured in a factory handling gluten, soya and mustard.

Save up a couple of points and have a bag of Wotsits instead!

Summary: Not weight watchers best invention.
