I read, salt intake from bread is where most of us tip and exceed the daily dose. I make my own mix ready to go, so is as quick on the day, but sometimes when I'm lazy have a Wrights to hand. But come on, Wrights, you don't need that much salt in bread. You do want your custoemrs to live, don't you?? 1 star for this reason....more

I love bread mixes by Wrights. People have forgotten what fresh bread is like, so get used to buying it stale, they don't notice. Bread if its good is 'gone' by 5-6 hours. ie packet bread is ts alway stale when you buy it. OK, I'm a BREAD-NAZI but Wrights is very very salty. Sunflower version and the wholemal is too. Depends on the batch too. Some are more than others. I then put on the relevant settings and 3 ...  Read the complete review

In my kitchen cupboard you will always find a bread mix. Not the separate ingredients to make bread, that has gone wrong far too many times for me to try that again, but the all in mix that you just add water to. Living out in the sticks means if the weather is bad as it has been recently and you run out of bread you either do without or get out the bread machine. I like my bread so I get out the bread machine! Wright's bread mix does not come in a packet like the picture anymore, it is now in a packet that looks brown because when you look closely the background is made up of photos of the crust of bread. I usually buy the white mix, it is available in ...  Read the complete review
