When I go to snack I always tend to pick up something unhealthy which of late has seen my clothes feeling a little on the tight side on my body! The other day I was browsing in Asda when I spotted these blackcurrant pieces covered in yogurt in a small packet and looking at how many the pack contained in calories was pleased that it was considerably lower in those than my usual big bag of crisps...and I though my 5 hamsters would be able to enjoy them with me!
The Packaging:
The packet is black on the outside of it and silver foil on the inside and on the front of it we are told that it is YU! Fruit Blackcurrant Pieces In Yogurt Coating and there is a picture of a frog on there and the weight is stated which in my case is a 25g serving. On the back of the packet other information listed includes being told a little bit about the product, the ingredients used and allergy advice is given, a nutritional chart is shown and contact details for the manufacturer (Elite Healthy Foods LTD) are given. Its a nice, easy to tear open little pack this and of course informative enough too.
The Blackcurrant Pieces:
What you get in the bag is lots of small pebble like blackcurrant pieces covered in a white and creamy looking set yogurt coating which is evenly coated on each one and they all look pretty much the same in appearance.
Taste wise, well these are quite simply great. The blackcurrant is just that and really tastes fruity and moist and nicely but naturally sweet. The yogurt on each piece is real yogurt and nicely sweet with a small hint of tartness to it, complimenting the fruity flavour. They kind of melt in the mouth and they taste great and these are also stated on the pack to be a great source of energy and to not contain any artificial colours either. I personally approve of the fact that they are made from real fruit, that they are refreshing and healthy and really think that they are worth 50p a pack (in all good supermarkets) and my hammies adored these too! A great and reasonably healthy little buy!
