“ Brand: Boots / Type: Hand Wash / Suitable for: Hand „
Whilst my husband considers me to be totally bonkers, I spend ages looking at the hand washes when I'm out shopping, which will usually result in me purchasing several bottles followed by me complaining half an hour or so later that my shopping bag is heavy! I'm my own worse enemy, but my passion for beauty products will never change and at least it keeps me out of mischief. One of my latest purchases was from the Boots Luxury Hand Wash range and this review discusses my experience with using Mulberry Passion.
Appearance wise the tall and slim 250 ml transparent plastic bottle is considerably appealing to the eye with its contrasting black dispensing unit and luxurious looking flower design, which takes up the majority of the front of the bottle. The passion name fits considerably well, particularly as the contents are of an eye catching purple and it was the overall product appearance that initially captured my attention and lured me into making my purchase. Whilst the dispensing unit could be considered as offering a chunky appearance, it works well in the case of Mulberry Passion and adds to the overall appeal.
The dispensing unit is easily operated and only a slight press is required to release a sufficient amount of the good consistency hand wash. I was extremely impressed with the aroma although I must admit that I took a sneaky sniff in the Boots store prior to making my purchase. The fragrance is extremely authentic with its refreshing and uplifting mulberry tones, which become more intense as I spread the gel type liquid over my skin following introduction to water. I was really impressed, particularly for an own brand product, as whilst Boots use the luxury label, I really did not believe this product would constitute being named a luxury hand wash.
A good lather was created as I applied the hand wash into all of the nooks and crannies and it was easily rinsed away. Due to its refreshing and uplifting aroma I decided to use the hand wash in the kitchen and it passed with flying colours with removing grease from my skin during preparation of the Sunday roast. There was no sticky film or greasy residue remaining on the surface of my skin and I favoured the fact that it's delightfully refreshing aroma lingered for a short while following use. Whilst the hand wash is marked as being moisturising, I did not feel it sufficient enough for me, particularly as I suffer with problematic skin on my hands. However, I was pleased to note that it left the surface of my skin feeling wonderfully soft and smooth.
A real frustration of mine in relation to many brands of hand washes is that the dispensing drips following use and as a result, there is an unsightly product build up directly beneath the bottle. However, I cannot report of any issues whilst using Mulberry Passion, particularly as the small aperture in the bottle seems to have been perfectly designed. The hand wash should be used within 24 months of opening with the bottle being recyclable once empty.
I have no complaints whatsoever in relation to Boots Luxury Hand Wash Mulberry Passion and the best part is the price, as it sells for just £1 for a 250 ml bottle, which represents excellent value for many, particularly when making a comparison with other brands. Due to the reasons discussed above, I am able to make a high recommendation and will definitely be making further purchases once my current stash of hand washes has slightly reduced.
I hope you found my review useful and thanks for reading.
