Dove Soap Dove Cream Bar
Advantages: gentle, moisturising, nice scent
Whilst I was having a shower at my other half's house I was not impressed to see that there was no shower gel! As I looked around the bathroom I just couldn't see anything to wash with and then out of the corner of my eye I spotted this dove moisturising cream.
When I first saw the moisturising bar my initial impressions were "oh no". I really do not like washing with soap, I would go as far to say that I absolutely hate it. Soap has a tendency to dry my skin out and I do not like the feel of it against my skin. However I decided I would give it a go as it was Dove and they are known to be kind to your skin.
The bar itself is a good size and is curved so that it can be held easily and you can get a good grip of it.
As I began to rub the soap bar into my hands I was impressed. Firstly at the fact that it wasn't slipping and sliding all over the place and secondly because of the lather that it created. I only rubbed the soap softly and it still produced the most exceptional lather. It felt luxurious and creamy.
I rubbed the soap into my skin and it felt incredibly gentle and moisturising. The lather glided over my skin easily. This is unlike any other soap that I have used, before I used it I did not realise it is actually sold as a 'cream bar' as it contains ¼ moisturising cream. This really shows in the quality of the soap and how it feels against your skin compared to some cheaper soap.
If any of you have used dove products before you will know what this smells like. If any of you have not tried these products before then I would describe the dove scent as being fresh, creamy and generally nice and clean. It is a neutral scent which can be used by both sexes but I do have to say I love it!
After using this soap in the shower the scent was noticeable on my skin but only for a short time, after around an hour or so the scent had disappeared.
You can buy a pack of 2 bars of this soap for around £1.35. At just under 70p per bar I think this is a very reasonable and fair price. However, if I had a choice between the soap and the shower gel I would still pick the shower gel just because of my own personal preference.

Summary: A great quality soap from Dove that out shines all the cheaper soaps in terms of how it effects your
