This is a brilliant product with so many different uses, from washing your face, teeth and laundry to cleaning your dog. Organic, fair trade and animal cruelty free!
I buy the 237ml bottle from my local health food shop for around £4-5 ($7), which you might think is pretty pricey for some liquid soap...but this is much more than just a soap - I used to spend a lot of money on different skincare products for my face; cleansers, exfoliators, etc. until I found Dr. Bronner's. I don't have any major skin problems, but I did have a slightly uneven skin tone with some redness around my nose and forehead that I wanted to get rid of. I've tried toners in the past, but they really dried my skin out a lot and did little to nothing for my redness.
So, I began using Dr. Bronner's soap as a body and face wash. My 237ml bottle lasts weeks, maybe even months, as you can just put a few drops on a pouf and it lathers up so much - enough to wash your entire body, and two drops on a flannel enough to wash your face. I use the peppermint soap, which has quite a strong, minty scent. I use it on my face as I would a cleanser, leaving it on for just a matter of seconds after a gentle scrub. I always experience a tingling sensation on my body and face during and after washing - if your skin is sensitive, I would steer clear of the peppermint and go for the rose or lavender soap instead, as the mint is fairly strong.
I used the soap on my face pretty much every other day, no strict regime, and my redness cleared substantially. Alone, the soap will dry out your skin a bit, so make sure to moisturize afterwards...which you should be doing after cleansing/exfoliating anyway. My skin always feels so soft and smooth after using it, and unlike many products I've tried, it actually stays smooth and clear until the next time I use it.
Fortunately, I've never suffered from acne, but I've read on many occasions that Dr. Bronner's has seriously helped those who do - so, no matter what skin type you've got, you should definitely invest in some of this miracle soap!
Dr Bronner's Magic Peppermint Liquid Soap

- Using the product and results
As with the rose liquid soap this product has a scent and it also has a really runny/thin consistency which I don't like as the soap can just slide off the skin. The scent of this soap is peppermint and I am not too keen on minty scented products and this product is no exception. The mint scent isn't too strong, it just smells like polos to me which I don't really like as a scent for a hand soap. The scent isn't overpowering, it smells ok and it is quite refreshing but I wouldn't have picked this scent personally. I have been using this product as a hand soap and it works really well as a hand soap and the sample sachet actually lasted for two weeks even though it is only a sample so if you had the full size bottle it would probably last a fairly long time - even with daily use.
The soap lathers up really well even though it does not contain any foaming agents such as sodium laureth sulphate which can irritate the skin - for this reason this product may be great for individuals with sensitive skin. The soap cleans the skin well, it does not leave a residue on the skin but the scent does transfer to the skin - although the scent really doesn't last long on my skin which may be a positive point for some and a negative point for others. Also this product can be quite drying on my skin, which is naturally quite dry anyway so I did need to use a good hand cream after using this product. Overall, the soap has a ok scent (others may like the scent a lot more than I do though), the soap lathers very well and it cleans the skin well - it would also be great for cleaning makeup brushes as the rose scented version of this soap is very good at. I like the soap overall but I would not have picked this scent.
