“ Brand: Korres / Type: Soap „
Price: £4 for 2x40g
For: Non-drying deep cleansing for oily skins
The packaging is a neat little travel box with the 2 soaps in. It's made of plastic and it fastens well, and is very handy for keeping the soaps, especially if you wanted to take them travelling.
They are quite small soaps that are a kind of semi-opaque yellow colour. They smell like any usual soap only with a bit of a more herbal kind of scent in the background. It's not a very nice scent really, but it's not strong enough to be a problem.
They lather up quite well with water to make a smooth, creamy lather, rather than a bubbly one. Washing with it feels very nice, and it feels smooth and silky on the skin. It does feel like it's deep cleansing the skin, certainly more than any normal soap.
The lather washes off easily and my skin is left feeling very smooth and soft, but it also has that awful stripped feeling, and is quite dry and tight. Korres claim that these moisturise your skin to stop this from happening, but I found that they made my skin drier and drier with each use.
Each soap only lasts around a month, and that's if I only use it on my face. If you were to use them on the whole body as well like Korres suggest then they'd be gone in no time.
All in all I didn't think these soaps lived up to their claims.
Thumbs down from me.
