“ Brand: Lush / Type: Soap / Subcategory: Milk „
As a huge fan of Lush, I'm always on the lookout for new products to try, and recently this has included some old products, as Lush have begun releasing limited edition Retro products every couple of months. One of the recent products I have tried is the Milko soap, which was recently available for £4 for 100g. Milko is described as gentle and comforting. It has a lovely refreshing fragrance made up of lemon, orange and benzoin gum, which Lush state makes it smell like lemon ice-cream. I have to agree - it is a lovely scent which is creamy and comforting yet refreshing and light at the same time. The soap base is made up of coconut and rapeseed oils as well as soya milk, which adds to the creaminess and moisturising properties of the soap. I'm not sure if the soap is vegan or not, but looking at the ingredients I can't find anything to suggest that it isn't. Milko lathers up really easily and feels lovely on the skin: it is a very creamy soap. I have dry hands but this soap is very moisturising. The lovely lemony scent pervades the bathroom and lasts on my skin for a while after use. I don't immediately need to use hand cream as the soap has such a good effect on my skin. It doesn't seem to be wearing down quickly either: a lot of creamy soaps don't last very long but this is an exception to the rule. Overall I really like and recommend this soap. It smells lovely and works really well. The price is a little expensive but it's worth it for an occasional treat. The soap is no longer available at Lush Online, but may come back in the future, or else you may be able to track some down on eBay.
