      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A must try!

When it comes to buying and using soap I just love it. I mainly use it in the bath of course and I'm always on the look out not only for something that smells nice but us also comfortable to use on my sensitive skin.

What drew my attention to this was the fact it is Evening Primrose and that it is best known for anti-aging properties! At 41p per bar I chucked one in my basket to try full of hope lol!

      The Packaging....

Light yellow plastic oblong packet. On the front in yellow and brown writing I'm told it's Tesco, Evening Primrose Moisturising Vegetable Soap 'Enriched with natural extract of Evening Primrose and added Vitamin E and there is a picture of a yellow evening primrose on there. On the back of the packet (all in brown writing) I'm told a bit about the product, ingredients and contact details for Tesco are given, the weight is stated (125g), the recycle symbol is displayed and finally the bar-code on there. Nice enough packaging, easy to open and looks smart enough and not one bit economy looking!

A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Packet....

Moisturising vegetable soap, enriched with natural extract of Evening Primrose and added Vitamin E to help leave the skin feeling soft and smooth.

      Using It....

Well the soap itself is a rich yellow colour and quite thick and heavy, engraved with a leaf pattern on the top of the soap. Smell wise this is really very highly fragrant indeed. Distinctive...yes this is rose without a doubt and natural rose at that. It has a lovely natural sweetness to it and all round is very feminine and very nice.

So I dampen my body and apply straight to my skin. It does lather up slightly into white bubbles but it more melts soap onto the skin than gives a rich foamy feeling. It feels smooth and slightly greasy on application but nothing major and of course the aroma is released more so as you wash with it.

I can shave my bits and bobs with this and it rinses off the skin rather easily and doesn't scum or colour in the water (if in the bath).

      Overall....

It doesn't overly hydrate and moisturise the skin but it certainly doesn't dry it out either. Skin is left feeling and looking clean and with a very nice subtle but long lasting fragrance (all day you can slightly detect it on the skin). Economical this really is as it doesn't melt on sight of water and basically it's a very nice everyday washing product for the ladies!

      Only available in Tesco.
