Advantages: Lasts ages, smells great and cleans and softens the skin nicely
When it comes to buying soap, well its not something I very often buy unless it's the original Dove Body Bar. I mean I usually buy body washes and shower gels to use in the bath or shower and I hate putting soaps anywhere near my sink etc because of the mess and scum that they create and will opt to buy liquid soap instead.
However my flatmate/best mate likes to shop in The Body Shop and its not really a shop I am personally a huge fan off if I'm honest and prefer to spend similar amounts of dosh on the Soap & Glory range or in Lush. However as she usually takes ages to purchase products from there I always end up browsing and noticed this Satsuma bar of soap and I was attracted first off by the colour, then the fragrance and then when I noticed it was only a couple of quid decided to treat myself to it!
Remove the see-through plastic covering it comes in which is simply labelled with what it is on it and you get a rather thick slab of soap which is a light orange in colour and slightly curved up to the centre of it for ease of handling and it simply has engraved into it 'The Body Shop', Simple looking soap this is.
This has a wonderful and rather natural fragrance of oranges to it, slightly zesty , nicely and naturally sweetened..... it really does have a wonderful uplifting fragrance.
Made from glycerine I find this doesn't lather up majorly but quite enough. I started off using this on my hands and liked the way it left its smell gently fragranced for a good couple of hours and that my hands felt soft so then I opted to put it on a tray on my bath to use for bathing and showering instead.
Again it lathers up ok and it doesn't go mushy and really it doesn't melt too fast at all and lasts ages. It feels smooth if you apply it directly to the skin though of course you can apply it to damp/wet skin any way you desire. I can shave my bits and bobs with this and it rinses off with ease too.
Like with my hands it leaves my skin nicely softened but not gone bit greasy feeling. The scent lingers on the skin for a good couple of hours but it isn't an in your face fragrance. Above all I am left feeling clean and refreshed and that's the most important thing to me.
All in all this is a quality soap that befits my skin!
Nice one The Body Shop!
Summary: A nice soap!
