Character Options Doctor Who Adipose Plush ... Adipose made its appearance in one of the newer Doctor Who episodes. The Adipose are small creatures, made almost entirely of fat, with a couple of stocky arms and webbed feet. They look rather cute, but harvested a darker secret in the shows... Character Options have already been responsible for making a great range of action figures from the Doctor Who series. This is not an action figure, but a plush doll. It is an interesting move for the toy company to produce a cuddly creature, but if you consider what kind of characters could have translated into cuddly toys, the options would have been quite narrow. Build A Bear Pudsey Bear Faced Boxer Shorts ... in Need comes but once a year, and with it comes great Pudsey cheer. I love Children in Need - it s the single thing that makes November extremely exciting, bridging the dire gap between Halloween and Christmas. Better still, it s all for a great cause! I presented a fashion show this year at my old secondary school in aid of the little yellow bear, and one of the models decided to walk on stage with a large Pudsey bear which came from the Bear Factory (now known as the Build a Bear Workshop). Gund Big Bird ... always had a problem with Big Bird, in that he seemed to hog the limelight in Sesame Street. Poor old Oscar, Grover and The Count took back seats as he pranced about the screen in a camp fashion, mixing with American children. I know he meant well, but the character was overused and grated on me! Gund have made several Sesame Street cuddly toys, all with different price tags. Big Bird is one of the largest creatures on the street so he commands a whopping price tag, which I shall come to in a moment. He has been expertly crafted though with a loving eye to detail.
